Face of the Socialist forces
The Face of the Socialist forces (in Kabyle: Tirni iγalen inemlayen, in Arab: جبهةالقوىالاشتراكية) is a Algerian Political party creates in 1963 shortly after the independence of Algeria. FFS is member of the Internationale Socialist.
Its president is hero of the war of independence Hocine Has Ahmed. Historical opposition party with the system in place, it has preached for more than 40 years the democracy.
The FFS is very politically well established in Kabylie, in the berbérophones mediums of the country like in the big cities of Algeria. It boycotted the elections of 2002 and 2007.
The FFS is defined as a laic party: “ We intend to develop a laic approach. The religious field should not in no case to substitute and invade the political field .”
In France its militants work traditionally with those of the socialist party.
