Fabrice Viau was a great hope of the Football French. It was born the January 5th 1983 with Quimper and is tragically deceased on January 16th, 2004 in a road accident at the 21 years age. It was a great hope of French football and evolved/moved at the station of offensive medium in Racing Club of Strasbourg where it had arrived in 1998. Called Waddle, he had played its first match of Ligue 1 on May 20th, 2003 vis-a-vis Auxerre and had been titular for the first time 3 days later vis-a-vis Ajaccio. Recognizable with its long russet-red hair, he was appreciated of all, and was very close to Salim Arrache.

The challenge Fabrice Viau was created in 2003 and proceeds each year with Concarneau (Finistere during the holidays of All Saints' day. It is held during 2 days and puts at the catches 32 teams of chicks including/understanding each one 7 players (including 2 substitutes) and distributed into 4 group of 8
It is Stephan Guivarc' H which will be the godfather of the 4th edition, thus succeeding Corentin Martins.
Hall of drive
On Friday, May 4, 2007, Philippe Ginestet, president of Racing Club of Strasbourg, a commemorative plaque in the honor of Fabrice Viau in the presence of the family of the player revealed. The market of drive covered was renamed at the time of this cérémonie.Commemorative plaque:
