Fabien Canu

Fabien Canu is a Judo French ka, born with Saint-Valery-in-Caux (Seine-Maritime) the April 23rd 1960. It was, at the conclusion of its career, chief technical officer national with the French federation of judo (FFJ).

Biography

Fabien Canu learned the judo with the club from Alençon (Flowering ash). It took there its first license at 9 years and there remained faithful to this club during thirteen years.

Fabien Canu was twice world champion in 1987 with Essen and in 1989 with Belgrade and three times champion of Europe consecutively in 1987 with Paris, in 1988 with Pampelune (Spain) and in 1989 with Helsinki (Finland).

After its functions at the French federation of judo, in March 2006, he sees himself entrusting by the French minister of sport Jean-François Lamour the mission of dealing with the POP one, Olympic Préparation and Paralympique: it consists of a group of expert to come to assistance and to advise the various federations.
