Fabe
Fabe , born in 1971 with Paris, is a French rappor of origin inhabitant of Martinique. Its pseudonym is the diminutive of the first name Fabrice.
Biography
Youth
Child of the popular quarters, it is between Paris (18th) and Garges Gonesses (95) that the small Fabrice grows. He spends then a few years in province and, of return to island of France (in 1991), settles within the district of Barbès or he spends nine years of his life. In spite of a school course " mouvementé" , it continues its studies in the secondary and ended up taking down the baccalaureat. It is registered in Philosophie section in the Sorbonne but does not pass there more than a few months. The studies, in the way in which they are approached, not justifying it really, it decides to leave the university to launch out after a fashion on the job market.During the five following years, Fabrice connects the odd jobs (barman, employee with La Poste…) while signing the walls of the capital of the blaze that it chose and which will mark the spirits later a few years… FABE.
Career
Fabe takes its first steps of rappor in 1993 and, a few years later, he is noticed by his service on the title " you make the war, I make my affaires" exit on compilation French rap of Yellow productions. It leaves its 1st maximum " I do not like pas" at Unik Records at which it signs for two albums. The same year, it integrates the Complot of bottoms funds (collective composed of Fabe, Lady Laistee, Koma, Sleo, Bo Prophètes, L.S.O and Dj Stofkry). The crew appears on some mixtapes of Cut Killer, already near to Fabe and to connect itself with his/her friend East (RIP).The first album of Fabe " Befa surpend its frères" leaves in 1994 on the independent label Unik Records. The title " Ca belongs to my passé" profit from good a radio operator promotion and the clip is done rather quickly. Extremely of this success, Fabrice connects quickly and leaves the EP " Slowly but sûrement" in 1995.
In the impetus, Fabrice leaves its second album " Fund and the forme" in 1996. This time, it is the title " Letter with the président" who strongly arises. Fabe denounces there the abuses of power of the policies and more specifically of president Jacques Chirac, coldly elected. The title " The hard ones, of the boss, dombis" is adapted out of clip and the album is sold better than the precedent.
In 1997 the Complot of bottoms funds makes its last appearance on the second album of Fabe with the title " Raise in the air your index". Magnet to work in team, Fabe is surrounded by new rappeurs and form the Scred Connection (including/understanding Fabe, Koma, Haroun, Mokless and Mourad). The crew is very required, it appears on varied then compilations and mixtapes. In 1997 Fabe will make an appearance with East on the album " The School of the microphone of argent" group IAM in the piece " Enfer". The year 1998 sees the exit of the third album " Diversion of son" , better album of Fabe according to criticisms. To note that this CD appears on the new label of Cut Killer, Double H, who assures the majority of the productions in addition of it. The title which marking down is " Impertinent" , where Fabe is still caught some with the policies and lance its sentence most known: " If Jean-Marie would run as quickly as I it emmerde, it would be so much far… "
After its last album, " The Rage of dire" , left in 2000, Fabe decides to put an end has its career of rappor and share for the Quebec or he will live two years. Converted to Islam for this time, it has been devoted to the Islamic studies. However, the other members of the Scred connection carry on their way.
What does not prevent the deputy UMP François Grosdidier to include it in a lodged complaint in front of the Minister of Justice in 2005 for " incentive with racism and the haine" (complaint considered to be inadmissible by the magistrates' court of Melun).
Fabe also appears in a book " for a textual analysis of the rap français" , written by Mathias Vicherat. Within this dedicated work with the dimension of vector of idea that took and that continues to take the French rap, Fabe has the appearance of a precursor, and its texts are quoted on several occasions.
Fabe VS false gangsters
Fabe preaches as of its first texts a will to anchor the rap in reality. He denounces the hypocrisy of the rappeurs who invent one lived of shady since 1994 in the title " Joe the monnaie" or it releases: " If are to you a gangster you ace not the time of rapper". It continues in 1996 in the title " The hard ones, of the boss, dombis" while writing: " I leave the war of the rap to the children, everyone laughs when they play the durs". With the title " Say to the kids (that crime doesn't pay) " Fabe is posed in antithesis pseudos-rappeurs hardcore of Lunatic who had written in 1996 the piece " The crime paie". Always in " the hard ones, boss" , it posts a good part of the scene rap moment: NTM (which play the pyromaniacs with the baths douches" in Stommy Bugsy (be beautiful for you out of suit, damage that you it pête!) with Booba (the hip-hop is full gangsters in fake, which lives in houses, take to us for assholes, speak about crime but kill only out of the butterflies, speak about the street but know only its subway stations…). This last took it with serious and answered him (two years after, whereas Fabe did not grate any more…)in the title " Lettre" (2000) by taking again the sentence " They is so low which to speak about it would be necessary that I am done badly with the dos" and by adding " to it; Whore which rhyme of bâtard". In its 4th album " The Rage of dire" Fabe will sign a last piece " clash" and without call - in company of its assistant of Scred Mokless - heading " Remballe! ".
