Faaa (often transcribed Faaa in an erroneous way, or Faa' has or Faa' has in the documents in French when the true Polynesian consonant (named {{okina}} eta in Tahitien) transcribing the Glottal stop is not available) is a common littoral to the North-West of Tahiti, located in the Windward Islands in the Archipel of the Company in French Polynésie.
This residential zone, near to the capital PAPEETE, is the first vision of the island for the travellers arriving at the international airport.
The construction of the international airport in 1960-61 will generate a geographical and economic upheaval major. Two large hotels will be built the Beachcomber and the Hôtel Tahiti today Sheraton .

Faaa is bordering on the common of PAPEETE to the east, Pirae in south-east and Punaauia in the south. Pirae is not directly accessible by the road being bordering only in mountain. The Pacific Ocean borders all the littoral.
