F sharp has infinite sharp

f#a#∞ is the second album of the group Godspeed You Black Emperor! left in October 1997 in vinyl by the label Constellation Records. Independently of cutting by title, the album is cut out in movement S. a remasterized version will be born on June 9th, 1998 this time on CD by the label Kranky. This new edition contains two new compositions (whose one hidden) and certain passages of the old edition were withdrawn.

The first edition of 1997 was limited to 500 copies and the packaging was made with the hand. It was composed of various objects of which photographs, posters, and a Canadian Penny crushed by a train.

F# and A# are the sounds with which respectively begin each face of vinyl; the symbol " infini" refers as for him to the loop of cords which finishes the album (" string loop manufactured during downpour").

Part of the title " East Hastings" by Danny Boyle in the film 28 Days later was used. However, the title does not appear in the Original soundtrack a film.

  • " J.L.H. Outro" was named thus in homage to John Lee Hooker. It is hidden on the edition CD and it is necessary to wait approximately four minutes after the end of " Providence".
