FX Network
FX Network (for F OX E' x' tended Network ) is a television channel by cable and satellite. It belongs to the Fox Entertainment Group and is, to some extent, the little sister of the terrestrial network FOX.
FX was launched on June 11th 1994 with an aim of alluring the men from 18 to 24 years. In 2004, it is received by 85 million hearths.
In the beginning, FX diffuses primarily repeat broadcasts of series of the FOX like Mariés, two children or X-Files . In the years 2000, the chain starts to be distinguished from the other chains of the cable while programming in first diffusion of the original and daring series such as The Shield in 2002, Nip/Tuck in 2003, Rescue Me in 2004 or Over There in 2005. The chain is not afraid to shock and repeats with Dirt in 2006 or The Riches in 2007. This programming is worth to him to be from now on sometimes compared with HBO.
The British variation
In 2004, Fox announced its intention to launch a British version of FX on the bouquet of satellite television BSkyB.
