FOR THE THIRD TIME Alsace

The FOR THE THIRD TIME Alsace is the network of regional trains (FOR THE THIRD TIME) of the area Alsace and operated mainly by the SNCF (for the rail links). The railway service roads are supplemented by road service roads ensured by coach, generally while following the layout of old neutralized or downgraded railway lines.

It finds its origin in the Metralsace service created in the years 1980 on the model of Lorraine the Métrolor. Future

The network FOR THE THIRD TIME Alsace continues its development. The next stage is the arrival very awaited by the Alsatian ones of TGV Is European which will involve a complete recasting of the schedules to allow effective correspondences between the regional lines and the domestic network.

Parallel to that, the area is setting up Alséo , a smart card giving access to the urban grid systems of the cities Strasbourg, Colmar and Mulhouse but also able to manage the subscriptions FOR THE THIRD TIME.

Two projects of Tram-Train S are also on the way, that of the valley of the the Thur between Mulhouse and Thann whose oars Avanto of Siemens (similar to that of the line of the Egg cups between Bondy and Aulnay) were already ordered and that of Piedmont of the Vosges between Strasbourg, Molsheim and Barr, which is under study.
