Federation creates in 1883 by Voluntary Bodies of Firemen, gathering today all the voluntary, professional bodies and body of companies of the Grand Duchy.
The legal form is that of a non-profit-making association.
The FNSP manages the National school of and the Rescue Fire protection organization located with Niederfeulen.
It represents the bodies near the official authorities.
