FIBA Europe

FIBA Europe is a geographical deleguation of the International federation of basketball amateur , it includes/understands the 50 European Federations. It acquired a independence FIBA only in 2001.

History

Contrary to the other confederations which were formed before rejoining FIBA, the FIBA Europe did only one with the FIBA, although having particular loads.

The FIBA has with its load several competitions: ; national teams:
  • the male Championship of Europe and the female Championship of Europe
  • the male Championship of Europe and the female Championship of Europe 20 years and less ( Under 20 )
  • the male Championship of Europe and the female Championship of Europe 18 years and less ( Under 18 )
  • the male Championship of Europe and the female Championship of Europe 16 years and less ( Under 16 )
  • the 14 years tournaments and less ( Under 14 ) and of miniature basket-ball

System of divisions

From one competition to another, the teams qualify themselves directly. For example, the teams best classified at the time of a championship of Europe will be automatically qualified for a championship of the World and for the championship of Europe according to.
