FIAT Fiorino
FIAT Fiorino is a small utility van of the Italian car manufacturer FIAT derived from a car of series and whose launching intervened in 1977. It is always in manufacture, in its last version 2005, in Brazil.
First series
The first version of Fiorino was based on FIAT 127 second series with the back part separated from the cockpit dedicated to goods transport. The FIAT Fiorino also exists in the versions record player and Panorama.
Launched in 1977 with the same motorizations as the FIAT 127 truck, the engines of 903 Cm3 and 1049 Cm3, it will be manufactured in Argentina and in Brazil.
In 1980, during the appearance of the new diesel engine of 1301 Cm3, Fiorino undergoes light a restyling and the engine gasoline of 903 Cm3 disappears from the range.
In 1983 with the appearance of FIAT 147 unified, the front face of the FIAT Fiorino is again redrawn to be aligned on the truck.
Second series
In 1988 FIAT presents very new Fiorino which rests on the basis of technical Brazilian FIAT Uno. The capacity of loading becomes giant and is increased to 3,2 m3. As for the first series, the versions Record player and Panorama are present. The motorizations all are new, a block gasoline of 1,4 L of cubic capacity and a diesel of 1,7 L.
Third series
From 1994, the FIAT Fiorino rests on the basis of FIAT Thousand and the body of the front part adopts some. The motorizations also evolve/move and Fiorino is seen equipped with engines FIAT of the last generation, the very new Fire of 1242 Cm3 and a turbo diesel of 1697 Cm3.
With always a service output of loading unequalled of 3,2 m3 and a length lower than 4 meters, a height of loading to only 50 cm of the ground and useful interior dimensions of 1,78 m in length, 1,35 m in width and 1,36 m in height, it is the best work tools of its category.
Very competed with in France by the Renault Express train then Kangoo and the Citroen C15, it is very diffused in all the other countries where the national manufacturers do not have an equivalent.
One can reasonably consider that on the European market, its successor is FIAT Doblò.
All production sites
The FIAT Fiorino, although always in manufacture in Brazil in 2007, was built in various forms abroad.

Spain : Seat produced the Seat Trans which became then the Seat Terra. Based on the same concept of Fiorino, it rested on the basis of FIAT Seat Panda. Its manufacture finished in 1998.
- China : FIAT taken foot in China tardily, in 1996, and introduced the FIAT Fiorino initially because the Chinese authorities of the time had a strict right to watch on the foreign products manufactured on its ground and accepted only hardware requirement with the work and the development of Chinese. Later FIAT been able to manufacture cars and introduced FIAT Palio and FIAT Siena in 2001.
- Argentine : factories FIAT of Brazil and Argentina were complementary for satisfied a long time the local request. More than 50.000 FIAT Fiorino of the first and second generation were built in Argentina in factory FIAT of Cordoba. Its manufacture was stopped in 2001 in this country.
- Brazil : It is the motherland of the FIAT Fiorino. Produced without stop since 1977, he always knows as much success in Latin America. Although competed with by FIAT Doblò also locally manufactured. Practically more than 1.000.000 of FIAT Fiorino were already manufactured in Brazil.
The FIAT Fiorino is exported in much country like South Africa, Turkey and India.
New Fiorino 2007
March 2nd, 2007, FIAT Professional presented to the Transpotec-Logitec Living room of Milan a new vehicle light van which will take over in Europe of this version and which keeps the name of it: FIAT Fiorino . It is a very new vehicle in the spirit and the form.
