FIAT Duna
FIAT Duna was a car manufactured by the Italian manufacturer FIAT for the market of South America, in its factories of Argentina and of Brazil, as from 1987.
Truck with three volumes, it drifted from FIAT Uno, built in these same countries since 1984, with some alternatives made necessary by the local conditions of the highway network. It was presented in the form of a FIAT Uno to 4 doors with a trunk. A version station-wagon was also manufactured, version which was exported much, as in Europe.
Presented to the month of February 1987, in the beginning to satisfy at the request of the Argentinian and Brazilian markets of a car with trunk, the FIAT Duna replaced FIAT 127 in Brio version and Panorama.
It was available with three engines: two with gasoline of 1116 and 1301 Cm3 and a diesel of 1697 Cm3.
The truck, exported at the beginning in Italy where a fringe of the customers regretted the disappearance of old FIAT 128, the FIAT Duna did not have much success because the tastes had changed and the visible quality of these products did not correspond any more to the European standards.
On the other hand, the version known station-wagon 5 doors a honourable success in the countries where it was exported. It should be noted that this model was never built with control on the right.
