FIAT 621
FIAT 621 was a small multi-purpose truck manufactured in Italy by FIAT V.I as from 1929.
Profiting from an important payload, for the time, of 2,5 T, the FIAT 621 will know a success ever equalized. Indeed, it will not be only manufactured in the Italian factories of FIAT but also in Poland and Russia in almost 50.000 specimens under various versions among which electric and with gas generator. The initial version was been driven by an engine FIAT with gasoline, 6 cylinders of 2516 Cm3 and 45 cv with side valves.
The FIAT 621 will be the first truck sold with a closed cabin. Shortly after will appear the FIAT 621P, the first truck with 3 axles with a payload of 3500 kg. Many of other versions will follow until 1939. It will be also the first foreign truck with being regularly imported in France.
The Polish version
The FIAT 621 was also built under license in Poland by FIAT Polski between 1935 and the beginning of the war in 1939, date on which the German army requisitioned the factories FIAT Polski. Before the war, it is more than 9.500 specimens of the FIAT 621 which will have been manufactured.
