FIAT 1400
FIAT 1400 was presented to the Living room Geneva 1950 and was the first car produced by Italian manufacturer FIAT has to adopt a monopiece case instead of the traditional frame. Moreover it was the first car has to be conceived after the second world war and which could profit from new technologies. All the models of the other manufacturers were recoveries old prewar models.

A version convertible was presented in 1954.
It is also into 1954 that FIAT presented, starting from the same body, FIAT 1900 developing 70 ch.
The 1400 were manufactured in Italy until 1958 to 113.500 specimens; the FIAT 1900 until 1959 to 10.000 specimens.
This model which was an high-end for the time, was not only manufactured in Italy but also in other foreign countries.
- Spain : Seat 1400 . It was with this car that on November 13rd, 1953 began, dates from the exit of the first FIAT Seat 1400 of the factory of Barcelona, the automobile adventure of the very new Seat manufacturer who had just been born with the assistance of FIAT. Presented in 1953 in Barcelona, Seat 1400 will be manufactured until 1964 with 99 043 specimens; it will be replaced by the Seat 1500, car built on the basis of FIAT 1500L and FIAT 1800.
- Yugoslavia : Zastava 1400 . It is also into 1954 that FIAT and Zastava signed agreements of manufacture under license of the models of the range FIAT in Yugoslavia. The FIAT 1400 was the first of long series.
