FIAT 1300 and FIAT 1500 are cars manufactured by the Italian manufacturer FIAT, as from 1961.
These two models rest on the same body traditional truck with four doors been driven by engines of 1295 cm ³ developing 65 cv DIN and 1481 Cm3 of 72 cv. Some details of interior completion differentiated the two models of the first series.
With these cars, FIAT wanted to occupy the place left between FIAT 1100 and FIAT 1800/2100, and presented to the month of April 1961 a first truck, characterized by a body which pointed out the American cars of the time, in particular the Chevrolet Corvair. The interior completions were very neat and took again the level of the models of higher category, like the FIAT 1800, for example, the seats were covered with velvet fabric.
Little time after, at the time of the Living room of Turin, FIAT presented the version Familiare (station-wagon).
In 1962, the FIAT 1300 was chosen by the Italian police force and the army.
The engine of the FIAT 1500 was used for the realization of a special version intended for the taxis, which required a roomy car with an economic engine of cubic capacity. Thus was born FIAT 1500L (lunga) with the body from the FIAT 1800. It is this version which was built by the Spanish subsidiary company of FIAT, the Seat 1500 until 1972 with more 200 000 specimens.
In 1964 FIAT presented second baptized series FIAT 1300/1500C which had more powerful engines and of a servo brake in series. The body profited from some minor final improvements.
The FIAT 1300 remained in production until 1966, replaced by FIAT 124; while the manufacture of FIAT 1500 stopped one year later, replaced by FIAT 125.
The version 1500, then its evolution in 1600 S remained in production until 1966 and one counts more 22 000 built specimens. It was replaced by splendid the FIAT 124 Coupè and FIAT 124 Spider.
- Germany : the subsidiary company of FIAT in Germany, FIAT NSU Neckar built the truck Neckar 1500 and a specific version cut whose body was due to Ghia, then independent carriage-builder. More 40 000 specimens were built by Neckar.

It was a very robust model.
