Yellow Red Koninklijke Voetbalklub Mechelen is a Belgian club of Football based with Malines. The club chaired by Johan Timmermans and pulled by Peter Maes evolves/moves in 2007 - 2008 in the first Belgian division.
History
- 1904 : foundation of FOOTBALL CLUB MALINOIS about 1904 (At the time of the request near the cabinet of the King, in 1929, to obtain the title of Royal Company, Alfred VERDYCK general secretary of the Belgian Royal Union of the Companies of Football Association (URBSFA) - taking again " The official part emanating from the Municipal authorities the Malignant ones (which) carried like goes back to foundation of this club: 1903" - announces that " since the club is affiliated with our Federation (...), its headed notepaper mentions 1904 like year of fondation" ; in fact, in 1912, the headed notepaper of the club mentioned " Founded in 1905")
- 1905 : affiliation with the URBSFA the 8/13/1905
- 1926: the number number 25
- 1929 receives: after obtaining the title of Royal Company the 5/15/1929, change of denomination in ROYAL FOOTBALL CLUB MALINOIS (25)
- 1970: change of denomination in KONINKLIJKE VOETBALKLUB MECHELEN (25) the 7/1/1970. (The denomination (official) ROYAL FOOTBALL CLUB MALINOIS is used by the club itself until the 9/19/1946, by the BELGIAN MONITOR until the 9/22/1951 and by the administrative services of the URBSFA until the 12/5/1953; denomination KONINKLIJKE FOOTBALL forever officialized CLUB MALINOIS; it is however used by the club as of the 7/11/1953, the administrative services of the URBSFA as of the 8/8/1953 and by the BELGIAN MONITOR as of the 11/28/1953)
- 2003: change of denomination the 7/1/2003 in YELLOW RED KONINKLIJKE VOETBALKLUB MECHELEN (25)
- 2007: After a sporting and financial retrogradation, the club was found in D3 where there remained two years, assembled in D2 he battled two years also for finally gaining the Final Turn which gives access to D1, the club goes up in Jupiler League.
