The Football Club Copenhagen (FC København) is a club Danish of Football based with Copenhagen. It forms with its rival of the same city the Brøndby IF, the New Firm which dominates Danish and Scandinavian football.
History
- 1992 : foundation of the club by fusion of KB Copenhagen (founded in 1876) and of the B 1903 Copenhagen (founded in 1903). KB Copenhagen however kept an amateur team.
- 1992 : 1st participation in the championship of the 1st division (season 1992/93)
- 1992: 1st participation in a Cut of Europe (C3) (season 1992/93)
- 2006: 1st qualification for the phase of groups of the League of the champions of the UEFA (Season 2006/2007. Qualification with the preliminary round vis-a-vis the Ajax Amsterdam).
