History

1986 : foundation of FOOTBALL CLUB BLEID the 3/18/1986 and affiliation with the Belgian Royal Union of the Companies of Football Association (URBSFA) the 6/25/1986; the club receives the number number 9026

The March 18th, 1986 , some fanatics who have as a name: Renato Di Felice, Luc Windeshausen, Serge Carnevali, Joel Thiry and Marcel Thiry, decide to found Football Club of Bleid which will start its existence at the time of season 1986/1987.

The first presidency of this new club will be assumed by Mr Renato Di Felice. The colors " black and blanches" are selected as of the creation of the club and will not leave it any more.

Rather special anecdote to notice: the first president of the club and the current one (2004) share the same first name and the same area of origin in Italy (the Abruzzi) and this by sheer coincidence since the current president arrived at Bleid only in 1995!

But let us return to the history of the club. During a few 10 years, the FC Bleid will have to play on the grounds of the " Congo" in Saint Mard. Indeed, the installations with Bleid being in the course of construction, it was necessary to have patience…

This did not prevent, however, the club to gain its very first title at the end of the season 93-94 and to reach for a too short season only the 2nd Provincial one. This title acquired in installations out of the village gave ideas to the leaders of the time.

Indeed, after the pioneers founders, the club was rather quickly taken in hands by the family Marchal de Bleid.

Bruno, the president, Francis the secretary and trainer and Philippe, the comitard will carry to end of arm the club during long years.

And when in 1995 , arrives from close Grand-Duché of Luxembourg, a contractor of Italian origin, decided to settle in the old school of the village, transformed into dwelling house, they decide to ask him to take again the presidency of the club.

Thus after one year of reflection, Mr Renato Costantini agreed to become the new president of the FC Bleid. The only condition which it imposed then was to see the club Bleid to play Bleid.

The ground being ready with employment, only still missed installations for the cloakrooms and the refreshment bar. At the time of the summer 1996, all the club was put at the task and of an old cattle shed in ruin spouts out of new cloakrooms and a new refreshment bar bright burning coal!

The FC Bleid could, finally, begin its beautiful story.

The objectives of the new president were immediately very clear. The 3rd Provincial one was to be left as soon as possible and the 1st Provincial one was to be reached within 6 year.

The results were not made wait. The first season was confined of a sixth place (4th ex-aequo) more than honourable. The following season saw Bleid reaching the 4th rank with 1 small point of the champion.

Finally, 1998-1999 was the season of the sacring in P3. Second title of Bleid with, this time, an overflight of the championship.

The accession in P2 was to be done with means worthy of the level reached and Bleid, which had a core with the height, did not make, this time, the elevator.

Quite to the contrary, he played all the season with the teams top of table to finish finally in the 4th place.

The following year, the FC Bleid announced ambitions of rise right now. The championship was rough, a trainer was exchanged in court of season and finally Bleid finished only second behind brilliant and stronger team of Holy Marie.

A little disappointed, players, trainer and president gave themselves the means of crushing the following season the championship.

Indeed, this season 2001-2002 will remain a long time in the memories of the supporters of Bleid, but also in those of all in love ones with the football of our Province. The FC Bleid gained the championship with a total of 88 points out of 90 possible. 29 victories and no one (for 30 matches) sanctioned a championship except standards.

The FC possible Bleid rafla, this year, all titles: better attack, better defense, better striker, 5 best players of the series, trophy of the 3 Borders, trophy of the regularity,…

The arrival in 1st Provincial was logically to make fall down on ground the whole of the club. And, indeed, some defeats to which the club was not accustomed any more since more than one year, very quickly gave the pendulums per hour.

But this team, champion of P2 and hardly reinforced, had already an extraordinary potential and without one season without fault of Bercheux, could have claimed to fight for the title.

However, one second place in P1 for a first appearance on this level, was enough largely with happiness to all in love ones with the club.

However, this place had also given ideas and the club decided to launch out in the season 2003-2004 with the ambition very simple to be champion of the Province of Luxembourg!

Claim or madness, always is it that to imagine a club, resulting from a small village of some 400 inhabitants, champion of largest of the Belgian provinces, that concerned the unreal one!

But it is, however, which arrived!

With a course more difficult than envisaged (by the provincial press!), the club emerged finally at a few days of the end to gain this high title the hand with some 13 points in advance over its second.

The continuation, it will be Promotion and a national level which should allow the small village fine bottom of Gaume to be made known through all the country!!

For its first season in Promotion, at the time of the season 2004-2005 , the FC Bleid finishes in the 10th place with 37 points and fight a long time against relegation. The season 2005-2006 proves more profitable considering than the club finishes 2nd with 59 points and takes part in the final Turn for the rise in Division 3. At the time of this last, it will be unfortunately eliminated.
