The Sports association of the Royal Armed forces or FAR of Rabat is one of most famous Moroccan clubs the, it was creates in 1958 and is based with Rabat.
Les FAR was the first Moroccan club to take part in a African cut; it was in 1968 where it reached the stage of the semi-finals, and it was also the first Moroccan club to gain the cut of Africa of the clubs champions, it was in 1985.

Since 1989, the club carries a yellow star to the top of its logo, to mark its tenth championship of Morocco.

History

The Sports association of the FAR was created in 1958. The idea was then to bring together players without much fame and to develop with them a work on all the levels (the organization, the discipline…) in order to obtain an irreproachable team on all the plans.

One year after its creation, the club reached the first division more to leave it until our days.

Under the orders of Mohamed Chtouki (trainer and player) and with a pleiad of good players the such guard Housni Benslimane, Houcine Zemmouri, Am, Belmejdoub, Mokhtatif, Zinaya and others, the club took down the first title of his history out of Cut of the Throne vis-a-vis holding of the title Mouloudia d' Oujda, the year even of his rise in the first division.

The military formation was going to dominate the competitions for long years, as well in national Championship as in Coupe of the Throne of football. It was also going to introduce a manner of playing combining the technique and physical engagement grace in particular to the French technician Guy Cluseau who built a team which could take down several titles in the Sixties.

The FAR of Reduction offered to the Moroccan national selection generations of players who illuminated national football and who contributed to the superiority of the national team on the African scene.

Among them, it is necessary to quote Housni Benslimane, Allal, Zemmouri, Am, Belmajdoub, Am, Mokhtatif, Zinaya, Bamous, Bakha, Abdelkader, Ouadich, Derouich, Hamdi, Mohamed Timoumi, Dehhane, Fadli, Lemriss, Hcina, Khairi, Laghrissi, Samadi, Hadrioui, Bouhlal, Brazzi, Anaflouss and El Houssein Ouchella.

Side trainers, several large technicians passed by the club: The first was Mohammed Chtouki who made assemble the club in the first division, comes then legendary Guy Cluseau which took in hand the club during more than one decade thus gaining 6 championships between 1961 and 1970, there was after Iberian Barinaga and the Vidinic Yugoslavian.

In 1982, and after good performances with the Qatar, Jose Alias Mehdi Faria unloads with the club to lead it to join again with the titles: Two Championships in 1984 and 1987,3 Cuts of the Throne in 1984,1985 and 1986 and one African cut in 1985.

Since several names followed one another without giving again life with the military team until the arrival of Me hamed Fakhir, a technician except par which could in the three seasons space offer to the military team two Coupes of the Throne, a Championship and a cut of Africa.

Center sporting

Of a surface of 40 ha, the sporting center of ACE FAR is one of largest of Africa. This center has two turfed grounds, a synthetic ground for football, a general sports room, a room of Natation, two Olympic swimming pools, a room of Musculation, three courts of Tennis, a room of combat for boxing and a room of Gymnastique. Within this center, one finds also a medical department made up of a room of Kinésithérapie, a room of Balnéothérapie, a room of electrotherapy and a cabinet of dental surgery. This service is ensured by five sporting doctors.

Stage Moulay Abdallah

The Stade Moulay Abdallah is the second great stage in Morocco after the Stage Mohamed V of Casablanca, it often shelters the matches of the Marocaine national team of Football. Property of the Urban community of Reduction, it also constitutes the stronghold of the football club of the FAR of Reduction.

Its configuration and its full capacity are of 60.000 numbered individual sitted places including 25.000 covered places, 1500 individual and numbered sitted places, for the VIP and Official, 5.000 sitted and individual places for the Media and 150 places for handicapped people

Room of interviews to the ground floor of 30 m2

Faristes

As.FAR is a national club equipped with a public coming from the four corners from the Morocco from Tangier to Lagouira while passing by Rabat and Fès and from any confused social layer. In addition, one also finds supporters of as.FAR scattered on several continents: in Europe, North America (the United States, Canada), in North Africa (Algeria, Egypt) and even in Asia! (South Korea, Japan). Reduction - Salé is the headlight city of the supporters of as.FAR. Thus in all the districts of Reduction, one counts thousands of faithful supporters of the team Militaire. Faithful supporters which supports their team that is essential the time, which is essential the results, let us quote like example the famous districts: Yaàkoub Al Manssor, Alakari, Hay Nahda, Takaddoum, Dyor Jamaä, Tabrikte, Salted Al Jadida without forgetting faithful the supporters of Temara- Skhirat.

Also place of " celebrates it; BAB EL HAD" in full center of Rabat is the place of appointments of impassioned of the military team where one discusses, debate and extasy of the performances of the team but also where one acts in concert to decide and organize great displacements always to support a team which one carry in the heart.

It is there too that one can meet celebrates it very and appreciated Manolo of the supporters, Mustapha, called " Albahja" , Manolo which animates steps, platforms in an always cordial and enthusiastic environment. It is with the Sports complex Moulay Abdellah, that as.FAR accommodates its adversaries, and it is precisely this mythical stage, of a capacity of 60.000 places, which shelters within the northern turn most of the supporters of as.FAR " Magana" (name drawn from the clock which overhangs the northern turn), of the untiring supporters, always ready to sing, shout until becoming exhausted the voice, and this, always for the same objective: to encourage their favorite team.

Already during an interview of fire Hicham Zerouali, very regretted player the place declared special which the supporters " occupied; Magana" in the heart of each player. He even allotted to them, during this same interview, " the number 12" of the military team. Among " the number 12" precisely was one to support out of the commun run, 18 years old: Mohammed Tair. This one will find death on June 6th, 2004 during a displacement of the supporters.
