F\' murr
Richard Peyzaret , known as F' Murrr or F' Murr is a draftsman and French scenario writer of Cartoon, born with Paris on March 31st, 1946.
Biography
Vague and secondary studies with the Charlemagne college. Gribouillages on all the supports available (or inalienable) and intensive reading of data base, with a particular admiration for Hergé and Franquin (the Belgian School).
After having tested without conviction the drawing of humor, F' Murrr spends six years to the Applied arts and lands in the workshop of Raymond Poïvet, where it meets the world of the data base: Gigi, Dimitri and Mandryka, inter alia. This one makes him meet Rene Goscinny. It begins then in the newspaper “Controls” (Mâtin, which newspaper!) in 1971 with its “Tales with wrong way”. From the boards not selected, F' Murrr creates the album “With the wolf! ” It is as in Pilote as appear, two years later, in 1973, first boards of a brilliant and removed from rim series: “Genius of the Mountain pastures”.
One finds there as of Volume I, the sheepdog, curiously not named, Romuald the black ram, the “hum” chief of the herd and the inimitable spirit of the series. Delirious and suicidal gherkin bottle (which is delirious nicely in their small bottle then which commits suicide while being thrown in a ravine); competition between the sheepdog and his Berthold neighbor (of stove) which does not have really the same IQ! while passing by the inscription in a notebook of the tourists trucidés during the week…
Passing without shame of boxes swarming with more delirious details the ones than the others with boxes Zen, quasi abstract, where F' Murrr traces a landscape in some blows of pencils, it charms the eye like the spirit of its readers. Impossible to remain indifferent to the merry wind of madness which blows on its Mountain pastures…
Pushed by Guy Vidal, the series ends up being essential, and brings to its author estimates, celebrity and fan-club. But F' Murrr is not limited to the mountain pastures: a character of passage in the series, Naphthalene, will have his own series, becoming it also a genuine high-speed motorboat.
If one excludes his parody of Spirou , “Spirella mangeuse of squirrels” where a female species of Spirou and a squirrel hut as a bear maintain the reports/ratios ambiguities little and endiablés! , F' Murrr posts a taste pronounced for the Middle Ages, its large shoes, its coats of mail and its coarse words. It re-examined and corrected the adventures of “Attila” Hun, “Jehanne d' Arque” and its son “Tim Galère”, of his friend “Robin (of the Boxes)”, of the Gabriel archangel in “Porfirio & Gabriel”, as well as famous Blind men of the fabric of Pieter Bruegel the Old one.
With “the Poor Knight”, F' Murrr attempts to tell (at the origin in one of the pretty albums small size of the collection “Comics” of Casterman) the sad one and short history of a very poor knight, Baron Nul, Count de Surnombre, Marquis de Trop, Seigneur of Camelote. The chanson de geste of this knight as non-existent as that of Italo Calvino and almost as much poet as the Don Quichotte of Cervantès incarnates, in his absolute nothing, a marvellous parody of all the moyenâgeux characters of the data base of yesterday and today.
F' Murrr makes a little the turn of the trade of the data base: It passes from “Wild duck” with “Circus”, with “Porfirio and Gabriel”, followed by a not very conclusive collaboration to “Icy Fluide”. F' Murrr, which with art not to demolish its bag, settles then with “Métal Howling”. One orders science fiction to him and it offers “Jehanne to them d' Arque”! Two years later, it takes along Jehanne, its protected in the first number “To follow”. Pretty like a heart, loose-living woman and related to drink, girlfriend like pig with Attila and Gilles de Rais, this marvellous creature opens out in a populated Middle Ages of Huns and mammoths. She falls in love with one. extraterrestrial! She gives rise to a son, Timofort, whose adventures will be reported in “Tim Galère”.
Let us note in the passing some isolated creations. With “the Ship of state”, F' Murrr comments on with its manner désopilante the invasion of Afghanistan by the Russian tanks. Then, understanding that this business is tragic and that it will last, it gives up. “The Poor Knight” is a pseudo-medieval history of a missed knight who practices the levitation. Its Genius of the Mountain pastures remains a model of amusing disorder and rigorously controlled nonsense, absolutely single in the cartoon (ovine) contemporary.
Today, F' murrr continues to work on several bédés at the same time. That which forever considering passing in the sky the clan of the Father Christmas in solex, or the factor time goes urgently to the bookstore nearest. He lives in Drome, draws the posters of the “Festival of Transhumance” with Die, the labels of Pale and other drawings which the collectors tear off. The last album of the Genius of the mountain pastures is appeared in March 2007.
