Fódla

Fódla , in the Celtic Mythology Irish, is a queen of the Tuatha Dé Danann.

She is the girl of Emmas and of Delbáeth, with her sisters Banba and Ériu, she forms a triad, true personification of Ireland. She is the wife of Mac Cecht, wire of Cermait, grandson of the Dagda. When the Milesiens unload coming from Spain, each of the three sisters their request to give their name to the island; it is Ériu which is chosen, but the names of Fódla and Banba are used like allegory.

It is sometimes comparable with Morrigan.
