Fédor Chaliapine

Fiodor (Fédor or Feodor) Ivanovitch Chaliapine (in; ), born the February 13rd 1873 with Kazan and dead the April 12th 1938 with Paris, is a singer of opera (low) and Russian actor which also had a great talent for the drawing.

Chaliapine was regarded as largest low Slavic of its time, and its most famous successors (Mark Reizen, Boris Christoff, Nicolaï Ghiaurov) all were judged - with severity - with its alder. Its interpretations of Boris Godounov and of Dossiféï (characters of Modeste Moussorgski) and of Salieri (opera Mozart and Salieri of Nikolaï Rimski-Korsakov) are always regarded as immortal.

His/her son Fédor Chaliapine wire (1907-1992) was a movie actor.

Buried in Paris, Chaliapine rested with the Cimetière of Batignolles until 1984, year when its remainders were transferred to the Cimetière from Novodevitchi from Moscow.
