Fèsta d\' Oc

Fèsta d' Oc is a Festival of summer and sport of the world occitan which is held since 2001 with Béziers at semi July.

Concept

Multi-field festival, Fèsta d' Oc is an estival appointment of the Occitanie, centered on the music and extending itself to many animations (Course camarguaise, Water tournaments, mass occitane, gone to savors, sets of children, exposures and debates on the world occitan and other talks).

Its musical programming exceeds the world occitan and invites each year of the artists of all the “Suds” (Césaria Evora, Yuri Buenaventura, Enrico Macias,…). Several concerts in heart of city (gone Paul Riquet, Cloister St Nazaire, Cloister St Aphrodise) puts in international scene local groups and artists.

Fèsta d' Oc is the result of a charter signed in 1999 by the town of Béziers which is committed promoting the language of Oc in particular by the valorization and the support of the associative sector occitan.
