Fährinsel
Fährinsel is an island of the Baltic located at the east of the island of Hiddensee. There was at the time on Fährinsel the service of vat between Rügen and Hiddensee. It was removed in 1952 after the port of Schaprode was built for the traffic of postal boats. Fährinsel is a Natural reserve and is prohibited to the visitors. It is a place of rest for thousands of birds and a place of pasture for a herd of sheep of Swedish race Gotland.
