Ez3kiel is a group of electro - Dub French formed in 1993. Its three members are originating in Tours. The Ez3kiel group develops a Trip hop directed Dub and jungle, and is shown very creative on the musical level, but also on the visual level. The environments and the emotions conveyed through their titles make listening disconcerting and enivrante.
The musical identity of Ez3kiel was forged with time: at the beginning the group was composed of 5 members (low, battery, 2 guitars and a singer) and was very influenced by the movement fusion hardcore (Bad brains, Fishbone.). In 1998, the singer and one of the guitarists left the group. At this point in time the group was directed towards an instrumental music and started to integrate machines.

Since its beginnings, EZ3kiel parallel to developed its musical production a real graphic identity (the small pockets of album, Internet site, the posters, the Tee-shirt…), it was thus logical to integrate this artistic dimension on scene.
In a frame of mind similar to the music of EZ3kiel which was built as of the first productions through the use of sounds and traditional songs worked over again and reactualized using contemporary tools, the graphic identity conceived by Yann, also joined this step by a combination of paintings, fabrics and visions of another time or another civilization meeting current techniques harmoniously, modern to see futuristic.
The setting in scene is done using two screens with human dimension intercalated between each musician, in a complementary way with lighting and the sound.
Light creation takes its real dimension on the musical beaches without addition of video, by an artistic will to insert time into other of great luminous environments and into the fact that the realization of the images enormously requires time and of work. The idea of is created an interesting cohesion or the people, lighting and the images mix in a harmonious and flexible way.
Far from the imagery " Rock'n'roll Roll " or " Techno " , EZ3kiel is located in the mobility of an emergent artistic scene, using the technical tools appropriate to its requirements (New technologies of the Communication and information), ensuring an innovative and current image, which could initiate other experiments of the same type for places or projects NTIC under development.

2004: Versus Turn
The experiment of Live d' EZ3kiel at home. It should be noted that the album contains a video DVD in a concert, assembled by the bass player of the group. It contains film in the concert recorded on CD like 6 clips. Here still in collaboration with DAAU.
In 2005, the group joins Nosfell to present a collaboration to the Eurockéennes of Belfort.
2007: Naphthaline
Left in April 2007, Naphtaline is true multi-media project of the EZ3kiel group. Music, graphics and interactivity are the key words of this box which joins together audio CD and a DVD. This last contains 50 minutes of video visionnables on any reader DVD, but also a track DVD-ROM, or the user can interact with his mouse on animations, plunging himself then in a visual and sound experiment envoutante.
