Mark Eyskens is a economist and a Belgian politician . April 6th with the December 17th 1981, it was Prime Minister of Belgium as a member of CVP in a coalition government CVP - PSC - SP - PS.
Mark Eyskens was born with Leuwen the April 29th 1933. He is the son of Gaston Eyskens, which was also Prime Minister.
He obtained various diplomas with the catholic Université of Leuwen. He is thus graduate in Philosophie and doctor in Droit and Economic scenes. He taught in this same university. He is also painter and writer. In 1967, it was appointed professor of economy.
Its political career begins when it becomes in 1962 the adviser of the Minister for Finance of then, Dequae. In 1976, it is among the ministers CVP government carried out by Leo Tindemans. In all, between 1976 and 1992, it belongs to thirteen successive governments, where it occupies various stations. It is thus inter alia Minister for Finance and Foreign Minister.
In April 1981, he becomes Prime Minister of a coalition government between socialist social-Christians and . The September 21st, this government falls, after a conflict in connection with the financing of the Walloon Sidérurgie .
