Eye lotion

The ophthalmic drops or eye lotions are a liquid drug which one applies to the Conjonctive of the eye. There exist also ophthalmic pomades.

The eye lotions have a local action and make it possible to treat the infections of the eyes or the Paupière S.

They are characterized by the following points:

  • lachrymal Volume: 6-7 maximum microlitres

  • drops: approximately 25-50 microlitres
  • the turnover of the tears: 16% per minute
  • have 5 minutes, 8% of the drops are still present.
  • the drops can induce a secretion reflex of tear-->
