EyeOS

eyeOS is a free environment of office (under license GNU/GPL) based on a Interface Web. It makes it possible the user to reach his office, its files and its eyeOS applications starting from any navigator, on any computer, by having need only for one basic system making it possible to make turn a navigator and of a connection Internet.

Description

eyeOS is written in, a free language of script. One can thus install it on the majority of the existing operating systems as a waiter. It is also possible to use an existing waiter eyeOS by creating an account simply.

More and more of applications are available for eyeOS, of the applications of office automation (word processing, spreadsheet, etc) to the plays, while passing by applications Internet (instant messaging, email, etc). It is thus possible to carry out all the current tasks starting from a simple navigator.

For the developers Web, it is also very easy to adapt to eyeOS the existing applications (JavaScript, applet Java, Flash, etc).

History

eyeOS 0.6.0 (first version available) was diffused on August 1st, 2005.

After two years of development, the eyeOS team published version 1.0 on June 4th, 2007, under license LPG v2.

Version 1.1 quickly followed, on July 2nd, 2007, under license LPG v3.

Version 1.2 left on October 29th, 2007.
