Extremely of Uxegney
The extremely of Uxegney located at Uxegney in Lorraine was built of 1882 with 1884 then modernized until in 1914.
It is an example of fortification of Séré de Rivières, still equipped with its armament. One can see there the single specimen in operating condition of a turret with Galopin eclipse with a gun of 155 mm, gigantic mechanical of 250 tons going back to 1907. Also a great number of equipment are there still in place (kitchen, barrack rooms, armoured pieces of artillery…), their exceptional state of conservation justified the inscription of the site to the inventory of the historic buildings.
