Armament

The total armament is established with 40 pieces of artillery. The fort had in its stores of 83 tons powder and 500.000 cartridges.

The work had 316 places protected in the casemates, 240 not protected places

In addition to the armament under turret, 4 guns revolvers and 4 guns of 12 cylinder head for the defense of the trunks, 4 mortars of 22 and 4 mortars of 15.

actual position

During several years, the strong one was an ammunition dump, closed in the years 1980. Traces of this use remain still today (markings out of the ground, panel of danger, fits latticework on, etc…)

Thereafter 516ème RT of Toul-Ecrouves, had the fort to carry out there operations until the beginning of the year 2000.

At the beginning of 2007, the fort is in waste land: armourings with the abandonment, turret machine-gun with feraillée half.
