Extremely Telegraph
The extremely of the telegraph is located in the Valley of the Maurienne, on the road of the Col of Galibier, between Valloire and Saint-Michel-with-Maurienne.
On its site was in the beginning a station of telegraphy Chappe (signalling with hinged jibs), located on the line Lyon-Milan (then Venice in 1809).
The construction of the fort was carried out between 1886 and 1890, and belongs to the system Séré de Rivières.
The summer, the fort becomes animated with the visits of the Guides of the Inheritance of the Countries of Savoy which revive its history thanks to visits animated in behavior of time, exposures photographs, mini-conferences, etc
