extraordinary Histoires is a collection of news written by Edgar Allan Poe then translated and joined together by Charles Baudelaire in 1856.

Most known is undoubtedly the stolen Letter which reports the discovery, by a particularly intelligent detective, of a letter. The place had however been excavated with the greatest meticulousness by the police force. Only, instead of being hidden, the letter was placed on a display unit, and its modified aspect. Nobody had thought of examining this letter of aspect pain-killer.
