Nausicaä of the valley of the wind ( 風の谷のナウシカ , kaze No tani No naushika ) is a Manga Japan board of Hayao Miyazaki, published between February 1982 and March 1994 in the Japanese magazine Animage monthly , then adapted out of film of animation in 1984.

Synopsis

the United States

Was initially published by Home Box Office in the Années 1980 animates, under the title ( Guerriers of the wind ). In doubled version, he was 32 minute old amputee, giving the preference to the action, the nouns of the characters were modified and the changed history. Consequently of many amateurs disapprove this version, like Miyazaki itself. Following that the Ghibli studio adopted a strict rule prohibiting any cut of its works during their adaptation.

France

Warriors off the Wind , was projected in Paris, in fence of the 14th International festival of science fiction film and of science fiction which was held in large Rex, from November 22nd to December 2nd, 1984. Although animates it was not projected in French version, Warriors off the Wind was qualified at the time of remarkable, accepted the Special price of the jury , and arrived at the 3rd place among favorite films of the public.

The film in its not-published version left to France on August 23rd 2006.

Disney

The Walt Disney Company published under the mediation of its subsidiary company Buena Vista Entertainment, the February 22nd 2005, a DVD zone 1 comprising the integral version, with original version in Japanese subtitled and english language version. The legend wants that Miyazaki sent to Harvey Weinstein, person in charge at Disney of the publication, simple a Katana with like message “not of cut”.
