Extinction of Cambrien
One goes back it to approximately 440 million to years, it is the first of the major extinctions of the macroscopic species (approximately 85% of the species). The terrestrial extra causes (meteoritic impacts ) are not proven. On the other hand one can accuse a great total cooling and variations of the marine level (known as glacio-eustatic). Supercontinent Gondwana, then placed at the South pole, carries an immense icecap (Inlandsis). This glaciation which mobilized enormous quantities of water, cause a drop in the sea level; what involves a deceleration of oceanic circulation and establishes conditions of low oxygen content, which can explain more difficult living conditions.
