- the film is famous because of the approach of the physical relations of the protagonists. Presented at the time of the second Mostra of Venice in 1934, the film took part in a scandal which led Mussolini to take again in hand the programming of the festival, with the assistance of the Vatican. Later, the husband of Hedy Lamarr, very jealous, tried to make seize all the copies of film to destroy them.
