Expo 2005 (international exhibition of 2005), of Aichi, Japan, was held in the Eastern hills of Nagoya (common of Nagakute, towns of Toyota and Seto), March 25th with the September 25th 2005 (185 days in all).
Topic of the exposure: “ the wisdom of nature ”.
The official mascots were Kiccoro and Morizo.
The organizers hoped to attract 20 million visitors. However, one considered the number of visitors probable at 15 million. With final, 22.049.544 people visited Expo 2005. In 2000, Hanover had received 18 from them on the 40 awaited million.
The company Toyota which was at the origin of the current name of the city, is the principal sponsor and supplier of the expo, intended to emphasize the central area of the Chubu.
