Exploit (data-processing)
In the field of the Computer security, a exploit is a program making it possible an individual to exploit a data-processing Security breach in a Operating system or a software that they are remote ( remote exploit ) or on the machine on which this exploit is carried out ( local exploit ), this, in order to take the control of a computer, to allow an increase in privilege of a software or a user, or, to carry out an attack by Denial-of-service.
To pronounce as in English “ explo-I-you E ” and not “ exploi ”, the word coming from exploitation (of data-processing fault) and not because of carrying out any extraordinary exploit.
