Larnat is a common French, located in the department of the Ariège and the area the Midday-Pyrenees. Its inhabitants is called Larnatols.
Geography
History
The prehistoric vestiges (burial in a rock shelter of the Bronze Age) show the seniority of the site.Confirmed like pertaining to the County of Foix, in 1272, Larnat is known as like belonging to the seigniory of Quié in 1294
1246: the historian of the catharism, J.Duvernoy, quotes the confessions of Guillemette de Larnat and Philippe de Larnato, knight for heresy. Locate the perfect ones according to the texts of enquiry, several depositions for heresy are still mentioned in 1308 (of which the family of Larnat),
Jean de Villemur, Lord of Saint Paul, Belmont (on the current commune of Those), Bonnac and Larnat, pay homage to Gaston Phoebus in the vault of Mazéres, on February 10th, 1380 (He marries, by contract of October 20th, 1374 Rose de Faudoas).
April 19th, 1383: Johan de Villemur pays homage for part of the place of Larnat which it bought in Paul Baroo, heir to Lorde
In 1390, at the time of the enumeration of the County of Foix, Larnat comprises 15 fires (what would make according to the rule of Voltaire, 68 inhabitants): It should be noted that only the vice-chancellor is vassal on line of the count de Foix
1401: Pons de Villemur, lord of Saint-Paul is lord of Larnat.

The cholera epidemic, in 1854, makes 75 dead out of the 408 inhabitants whom the commune comprises
In 1896, Larnat includes/understands 50 houses, 50 households for 218 inhabitants
