Unfolding
In the rite reformed after the council of the Vatican II, unfolding is codified according to the practices of each country. In France, after an invitation with the memory of late, in silence, a song or invocations is followed rites of encensement and sprinkling, of a prayer of exonerated, in which it is question of asking for the indulgence of God with regard to the late one; finally, the assembly perhaps invited to come to greet the coffin and to sprinkle it water bénite. In the preceding rite, took seat the song of the Libera Me, beautiful piece of Gregorian anthology.
