Exhumed
Exhumed (known also under the name Powerslave in the United States and 1999 in Japan) is a Jeu of subjective shooting carried out by Lobotomy Software in 1996.
The player faces many monsters and enemies in levels on the topic of the Egypt. Using the same graphic engine as Duke Nukem 3D , Exhumed transposes the history in old Egypt.
Exhumed could be compared with Duke Nukem 3D for the style and Tomb Raider for the environment of the decorations.

Version PC
Exhumed proposes in its version PC only 2 graphic modes (320x200) or (640x400), and its system of safeguard is very limited, with the manner of many plays subjective shooting originally left on console. The play safeguards only at the beginning of level.In the same way, the catch in hand is not always very easy, the Jouabilité with the mouse is not more practical, and it is quickly necessary to be satisfied to use only the keyboard to move.

Then very a good surprise, after a fast loading and an introduction of text read in French on bottom of images of a book which is divided into sheets, one begins the play, it quickly is enough dépaysant, all the action proceeds in Egypt, one is entitled to decorations ways Egyptian frescos and levels made up of pyramids, corridors and temples, not of great extents, all is done in " intérieur" , which comes out with discovered from this software compared to Doom, it is necessary to be replaced in the time: it is its graphic quality: the system of deformation of the image on the edges which makes that one does not have a headache after having played 2 hours which was lacking with Doom is present here, one can look in top and in bottom, one can be driven under water, and the number of images posted a second is such as Doom is appeared of a quite insipid blow… The interface is simple is clear, the weapon used located at the medium, practice of the time, that changed since… Well modelled enemies, but one remains in 2D, the items also are in 2D and distributed well, only the environment is in 3D, one is not yet with the development of Quake 2! The action is fast and no deceleration is to be regretted, the presentation of advanced in the levels is rather austere: a chart as a posting, a little light.
The handling is traditional, the arrows to move and turn, the keys L and R for the glances high and low and the change of weapons and the other keys for the shooting, the actions, to jump, bend down.

All in all after having exterminated wild zombies and aliens, it is diverting to attack scorpions and other charming small beasts in old Egypt (more especially as to begin the play with a Colt that changes! ) especially with such a graphic quality; an easier hair and that would have really been the signal.
