The Executive council was created the August 11th 1792. The July 25th 1792, of the expressions malvenues in the Manifeste of Brunswick gave a report on threats with respect to the people. The Prussian armies started to invade the territory. The evening of the August 10th, 1792, just after the catch of Tileries, the legislative Parliament believed to save the situation by naming a provisional Executive council. The members of the provisional executive council were named by acclamation. They were selected apart from the legislative Assemblée.

Composition of the Executive council

The Executive council included/understood Pierre Henri Helene Marie Tondu, said Lebrun-Mowed Foreign Minister, Gaspard Monge Minister for the Navy, Joseph Servan de Gerbey with the ministry for the War, Jean-Marie Roland with the ministry for the Interior, Etienne Clavière with the ministry for Finances, Georges Jacques Danton with the ministry for Justice.
