The goal of the play is to qualify itself for the race Excitebike (Championship) while arriving at least at the third in the race challenge (preliminary race). When the player arrives at the first place, this message occurs: " It' S.A. new record" (It is a new record).

The player controls the position of his red motor bike using the axis Y of the multidirectional crosses, controlling acceleration with the buttons has and B. the use of the button B increases acceleration but will cause also a faster increase in the heat of the engine of the motor bike, as indicated in bottom of the screen of play. If the temperature exceeds the limits of temperatures (the gauge is filled), the player will be immobilized during several seconds, time that the temperature goes down again. If the motor bike passes to the top of an arrow, the temperature goes down again automatically.

While the motor bike is in the airs, the way in which the motor bike is leaning can be adjusted with the assistance axis X of the multidirectional crosses, to raise the front one on the left, to lower it on the right.

The player, at the beginning of the play, can choose the number of race that he or she wants to dispute, variable between 1 and 5.
