Excideuil
Excideuil (in occitan Eissiduelh ) is a common French, located in the department of the the Dordogne and the area Aquitaine.
Geography
Excideuil is a commune located in the administrative sector called of the " Périgord Blanc" (which corresponds to the District of Périgueux) in the department of the Dordogne. Located at approximately 60 kilometers of Limoges, 40 kilometers of Périgueux, 15 kilometers of Hautefort and 12 kilometers of Tourtoirac, the borough (agglomeration) is spread out in a valley and is prolonged in periphery by the communes of Saint-Martial-in Albarède, Saint-Sulpice-with Excideuil, Saint Martin and Saint-Medard-with Excideuil.
The commune is locally famous for its medieval castle and the Repetto factory, celebrates it maker of slippers of the street of Peace in Paris:
Excideuil is one of the rare communes of the North-East of the department to be had an establishment of secondary education, the college Giraut de Borneil, which comprises also a section college.
