Ewa
Ewa , in Nauruan Eoa , is one of the fourteen districts of Nauru. The district of Ewa belongs to the electoral constituency of Anetan.
Geography
Ewa is in the North of the island of Nauru. It is bordered by the Pacific Ocean in north and by the districts of Anetan in the east, Anabar in south-east and Baiti in south-west. The most septentrional point of Nauru, the course Anna, is located on the territory of the district of Ewa.
Its average Altitude is of 25 meters (minimal: 0 meter, maximum: 40 meters) and its Superficie is of 1,2 km (seventh rank on fourteen).
Infrastructures
The first founded school in Nauru by the catholic missionaries in 1902 was in Ewa. It became today Kayser College, the school offering the highest level of study on the island. The district also accommodates on its territory the Capelle & Partner , largest Shopping mall and more the private large company of the island.
Population
Ewa is populated of 298 inhabitants (twelfth row on fourteen) with a Population density of 248,3 hab/km.The zone corresponding to the district of Ewa was made up in the beginning of twelve villages : Abab, Aiburi, Anna, Anwer, Aramen, Arubo, Autibwere, Boreboren, Marerawua, Medang, Yoe and Yorangeb.
