Biography

Evrard of Marck (1365 with Aremberg - 1440) Lord of Sedan. He marries Marie de Braquemont, sister of Louis de Braquemont.

Member of a noble big family of Franconie, he is the grandson of Engelbert II of Marck († 1308), count of Marck. He is the son of Evrard and Marie de Looz, little girl of Jean Ier de Looz.

He buys the seigniory of Sedan in Louis de Braquemont. It is interested of close with the rocky outcrop which dominates the small village. It expels the monks of Mouzon who had a Prieuré there and starts to make build celebrates it Château of Sedan which his/her sons Jean of Marck then Robert I of Marck will inherit.
