Evnissyen
In the Welsh Celtic Mythology, Evnissyen is the prototype of the malfaisant character. He appears in particular in the Mabinogi of Branwen , of which he is the half-brother as well as Manawyddan Fab Llyr and Blessed Bran the, wire of Llyr.
When Matholwch king d' Iwerddon (Ireland), comes to ask for the hand of Branwen to the king Blessed Bran, Evnissyen, furious not to be consulted, cut the lips, the ears and the tail of the Irish horses. Offense is finally repaired by the offering of new mountings and a magic cauldron. Later at the time of the war which opposes the Welsh to the Irishmen, it is him which throws Gwern, the son of Branwen, in fire.
