Evian Masters
Evian Masters is a tournament of female Golf created in 1994 on the French bank of the Lac Léman. It is essential today like one of the major tournaments of the European circuit and figure even since the year 2000 in the tower of American LPGA. The suggested prices (3 million dollars in 2006 and 2007) place the tournament with the second world rank, just behind the female Open US .
The tournament is held on the course of the Evian Masters Golf Club with Évian-the-Baths. This course celebrated its centenary in 2004.
Until 2006, the players came on invitation. Since 2007, in particular to make it possible the tournament to be in agreement with the payments of the world circuit, a selection of the players takes place. The first two days, eighty ten professional players are present. After these two days, only the first seventy players classified at the head play during the last two days of the finale.
