Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere

Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere (1969) is the second album solo of Neil Young and the first with its " group; Crazy Horse ".

It contains three essential songs of the repertory of Neil Young: " Cinnamon Girl ", " Down By To rivet " , and " Cowgirl in The Sand ". This last song was made up whereas Young was feverish.

" Down By To rivet " and " Cowgirl in The Sand " are two long improvisations of more than nine minutes, which was rather unusual in 1969.

The subtitle of " Running Dry " : Requiem For The Rockets is a wink with the group Crazy Horse which was called The Rockets before being taken as guides by Young.

The album was disc of gold, one year and half after its exit, then platinum disc.

In 2003, the album is classified with the 208ème row by Rolling Stone magazine among the 500 best albums of all times.
