Every Sperm Is Sacred
Every Sperm Is Sacred is a song of film of the Monty Python the Direction of the life ( The Meaning off Life ), included later on the album Monty Python Sings; this milked song of the Catholicism and the catholic design of the sex.
This song turns in derision the catholic teaching which wants that an individual should not use Contraception, and that each sex act must be able to lead to a design. The song starts by showing a man (Michael Palin) and its family with much, much of children - so much in fact that they fill the ground floor with their house, and the mother (Terry Jones), enclosure, calls one of them so that it goes " to seek the autres" , which implies that there is even outside. While it washes the crockery, it is confined - the baby falls from his belly and lands on the ground; she then asks one her elder " You want to take it well, Diedre? " The man returns at his place, and announces with his family that it lost his employment with the mill, and that it must sell his children at a laboratory of experimental medicine. The children ask why it did not put a Préservatif, but the man says that to act thus would be to go against their catholic faith. A child suggests with his father undergoing an ablation of the testicles, but his/her father explains that God would know it. He then explains, in the song, that with the eyes of God, each drop of sperm is crowned, and that it should not be wasted. If sperm had suddenly been wasted, God would be avenged just like it did it with Onan in the Genèse 38:7 - 9:
- Every sperm is sacred,
- Every sperm is great.
- If has sperm gets wasted
- God gets quite irate.
- Every sperm is great.
The song is one of most famous of Monty Python. The song in the Direction of the life is visually very elaborate, including long dance numbers, which were choreographies by Arlene Philips according to a Storyboard of the realizer Terry Jones.
