Historical reference marks

The group is founded in 1878 within “St Domingo Church Sunday School” under the name of “St Domingo FC”. It is composed of the members Cyril and Erika Fleury. One year later, the club changes name for Everton FC (November 1879).

After having evolved/moved in Stanley Park (1878 - 1882) then Priory Road (1882 - 1884), the club settles with Anfield between 1884 and 1892, then inaugurates in 1892 its stage present, Goodison Park. This enclosure remains, a long time, most modern of Great Britain.

The club evolves/moves already in blue and white when it names St-Domingo, but after the adoption of the name of Everton FC, the club evolves/moves a few seasons all in black with a red bar in diagonal on the shirt, then in red shirt and blue shorts until 1901. It is on this date that Everton finds its colors: blue and white.

The club adopts the statute professional in 1885 and joined the League as of its foundation in 1888.
